Bay Leaf Resturant Birthday with Robin

March 4th 2008, My sisters drove up from Washington Dc, to Allentown, where they wanted to have a shared birthday dinner with there artist brother .I wanted to support a place downtown Allentown and we wanted Atmosphere and above all, Great Food

Kiki mentioned lets try Bay Leaf,

Sure enough i went into the Bay Leaf at 5pm and spoke with a gentleman, he said Resverations are best due to the way they lightly staff, so
i made Reservations for 6 at 7pm

We arrive 7pm i must add the Weather was Wet, Windy and Cold
i am sure you remember that day. March 4.
Parking was easy, Downtown parking at a meter is free at 6pm, so we had no problem parking two cars in frount of the Resturant.

Once inside we found the Resturant Warm and Cozy, Diners spaced thru out the resturant gave it relaxed ambiance and for me, the feeling of a true Alternative space.

Since it was a birthday party we took to order wine first.. ordering the Francis Ford Coppola white , priced very affordable
after a few sips.. and some " HAppy Birthdays".!

we ordered First courses

there are too many to mention, but here are a few we felt sinfully delicious

Seared Pepper Crust Tuna, sesame, seaweed & soy wasabi 9.95

Pan Roasted Black Mussels with tomato & chardonnay herb broth 9.95

Seared Duck Breast, shallots, green onion & Thai spice vinaigrette 9.95

We celebrated birthday greetings thru out our dinning Experience

and our Wait Staff was attentive and kept our glasses filled .

Our party of 6 felt well taken care of, and we settled in for our main Entrees

I would add..

the Food was so outstanding, Delicious and Fresh we asked that the Chef come out and take a bow.

In Short, Tueday in Downtown Allentown was Memoriable , and We found Bayleaf to be my Alternative Space to impersonal Franchised Mall resturants.
yes, i would go back
here is a link.. i hope you enjoy
